 FAQs

  • We will fund the agreed charging units plus onsite installation into your existing supply. Any costs associated with modifying or improving the supply or administrative costs (such as obtaining any necessary consents) with 3rd parties will be your responsibility however we will not order any equipment or ask you to sign any agreement with us until you have satisfied yourself as to the extent of these and are happy to proceed.

  • Our agreement term is for 5 years. This is because the equipment warranty is for 5 years so we want to make sure that the chargers we install are fully warranted over the period of the agreement. Also, we expect that there will be significant advances in both battery and charging technology within the 5 year period so if you decide to renew with us we will look to install the most up to date technology available from our partners.

  • No. We apply a surcharge to your existing supply to the chargers. Initially the price will be determined by your existing supplier but we will work with you once that contract expires to find the cheapest supply to the whole site. Our business model will be to pool the usage of all our customers so that we can obtain the most competitive price for all the electricity supply to your site.

  • You are responsible for the care of the equipment, so our agreement requires you to make sure it is fully insured at all times against theft/damage etc. We are responsible for making sure the equipment functions correctly at all times. The equipment is monitored remotely for any performance issues and we will provide you with full details of who to contact in the event of any loss of functionality.

  • No. It is obviously simpler if you do have unrestricted ownership of the site where the equipment is situated, but we can still install on leased land, however given the minimum term and practicalities we feel that you should have a fully protected commercial lease with between 5 and 10 years minimum to run. We cannot install equipment if there are fewer than 5 years left to run. All rental payments must be up to date. Please note that there may be costs associated with obtaining landlord’s consent to the installation and these are your responsibility.

  • In the case of rapid DC chargers such as 40kw and 60kw and the 22kw AC chargers you will need 3-Phase electricity to the site. For slower AC chargers, such as 7.3kw, it may be possible install some smaller units, for example for overnight charging, if there is enough capacity on site. It is also necessary to confirm with the local electricity network operators that there is sufficient capacity in the area so that the installation does not adversely affect neighbouring properties.
